Chantelle van Heerden
I live in Pretoria, South Africa, where I currently own and manage a digital marketing and design agency with my husband and business partner. I've been working in marketing in one form or another for the past 12 years. I initially worked in IT and project management, handling technical projects throughout SADC. From there, I moved on to work for an IBM subsidiary, handling all partners and marketing events throughout Africa. I was eventually head hunted to work for a local company to head up their marketing department, including all digital, social, print, and events marketing. Despite my full-time employment, I would also participate in several writing projects in my own time, including editing and proofreading novels, writing shorts, poetry, and ebooks, and studying other marketing-related activities, such as Google Ads and tools. Eventually my partner and I started our marketing agency, where we currently support several local and international clients, providing copywriting services, social media management, web design and hosting, and related services. Many of my skills are self-taught or learned through online studies, including design and advertising. The written word has always been a passion. I'm an avid reader of Saul, King, Dan Brown, Pratchett, and Koontz. I also enjoy ancient histories, fables, and mythologies, and WWII documentories.
